For the second season in a row, Slavia finished second, just four and two points away from their city rival, Sparta Prague. This year, Slavia have been really good in all competitions. They are at the top of the domestic league with 25 points in nine rounds - three points away from the reigning champs. Their European journey started in the Champions League 3rd Qualifying round, where they eliminated Royale Union SG. Unfortunately, they were eliminated in the Playoff Round against Lille in a super-close duel (3:2). But generally, they are playing well and have already won their first game in the Europa League Group (League) Phase 2:0 against Ludogorets in Bulgaria.

Ajax had a terrible last season, one of the worst ones in the club's history. They finished 5th, an incredible 35 points behind the eventual champs, PSV. This year, even though they are playing better and averaging around 0.35 points per game more, Ajax are already 11 points behind PSV, although with two games played less. In Europe, Ajax had to go through Vojvodina, Panathinaikos, and Jagiellonia in the Qualifiers and did very well. But their best game of the season happened in the first round of the EL, where they dismantled Besiktas 4:0. Even though no one believes they are a title contender anymore, we must not write them off too soon after such a performance in the first round.

Slavia Prague vs Ajax pick: Both teams to score

Slavia Prague have been great this season. They won 12 out of 14 games this season in all competitions and have also won six in a row before the Ajax game. Also, at Fortuna Arena, Slavia won all seven games while beating some really good teams like Lille, Royale Union, and Viktoria Plzen. Additionally, at home, Slavia Prague scored two or more in all seven games, and it is fair to expect at least a goal against Ajax.

Ajax are in excellent form, winning five out of six games in all competitions. They were fantastic offensively in that period and have scored a total of 19 goals - 3.2 per game. So, we believe they are more than capable to score against Slavia in Prague.

Considering both team's excellent form and impressive offensive displays in recent games, we believe that both teams to score bet should be the safest option for this Europa League match.
